Pocket Mammals are made in Aotearoa NZ by @pig_nut.
While they vary in size, on average they are about as big as a standard marble. The biggest = walnut sized, the smallest = a single edamame. Each is hand-formed in stoneware clay and hand-painted in a variety of gloss and matte glazes. They are fired to 1204 degrees C and are robust. To help them through their firings safely, every Pocket Mammal sports a tiny pinhole in the sole of one hind foot (a steam vent!)
Every Pocket Mammal is unique. Some have long legs, others short, high-flux glazes throw different coat patterns, some are rounder and others are more upright. When you purchase a Pocket Mammal in a certain colour, I pour out a snap-lock baggie of that colour and try to pick out the very nicest one for you.
Your Pocket Mammal will arrive in a cute little box with a comfortable nest inside.
